Does Excel Formula Trainer work offline?
Yes. The app has no internet permission and makes no network requests. Its formula library, lessons, worksheets, and practice questions are bundled with the app.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account or login. Your selected level, goals, progress, favourites, and settings are stored only in the app’s private local storage.
How many formulas and questions are included?
Version 1.0 includes 228 documented formulas and more than 900 practice questions across ten categories: Math, Logical, Lookup, Text, Date & Time, Financial, Statistical, Dynamic Arrays, Tables, and Information.
Is the app only for beginners?
No. You can choose beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Recommendations use your selected level and goals, and practice can be focused by difficulty or category.
What practice modes are available?
You can take quick mixed practice, a daily challenge, category or difficulty drills, favourite-formula practice, individual lesson practice, and mistake review.
What does the app track?
On your device, the app tracks lesson completion, exercise history, accuracy, streaks, favourites, recent formulas, mastery, activity, study time, and preferences. None of it is sent to the developer or a third party.
How do I delete my learning progress?
Open Settings and choose Reset progress. This clears lesson progress, exercise history, streaks, favourites, and recent views. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data.
Why might a reminder arrive late?
Android may delay background work to protect battery life. Reminders are optional, scheduled locally, and can be changed or disabled in Settings.
Which Android versions are supported?
The current app supports Android 7.0 (API 24) and newer.
Does it include modern functions such as dynamic arrays?
Yes. The catalogue includes a Dynamic Arrays category. Availability in Microsoft Excel can vary by Excel version, so the app notes that some modern functions do not exist in older releases.
Is this an official Microsoft product?
No. Excel Formula Trainer is an independent educational app. Microsoft and Excel are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation, and the app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft.
